Basement flooding what to do for drying out water flooding are shown below. To the right is a photo of an example desiccant dehumidifying machine.
  • Dehumidification with a desiccant drying machineBasement Flooding What to Do: a desiccant uses small beads to increase the surface of air passing through the machine to expedite drying.  They also work better in lower temperatures than LGR dehumidifiers, which is helpful in cooler basements.  These are the work horses for stopping a mold basement situation
  • Dehumidification with a low grain refrigerant (LGR) machine: these machines remove moisture from the air like desiccants but use a normal condensation process
  • Drying using heat machines: increasing the heat in a room will expedite drying since water particles in the air will move faster and be able to be extracted quicker
  • Drying using air movement machines: increasing the speed of the air passing over wet areas will put more moisture in the air to be removed by the dehumidifiers
Basement flooding what to do for sanitizing the affected area are shown below. To the right is a photo of an example antimicrobial application product.
  • Vacuuming using HEPA machinesBasement Flooding What to Do hepa vacuum: this will remove the tiny, tiny particles that if left behind could cause harm
  • Air filtration using HEPA machines: these will remove the same particles from the air when they inevitably begin to float around.  It will also stop things like mold and other harmful contaminants from moving to other parts of the home

  • Air filtration using HEPA machines: these will remove the same particles from the air when they inevitably begin to float around.  It will also stop things like mold and other harmful contaminants from moving to other parts of the home
  • Deep cleaning: using a surfactant such as an industrial grade soap with water and a lot of elbow grease will remove the majority of contaminants form affected surfaces
  • Cleaning using soda blasting: think of this as a high powered hose with baking soda in it.  The baking soda hits the surface a technician is pointing at and removes a small top layer from the surface where all can be cleaned up with HEPA vacuuming and air filtration
  • Cleaning using dry ice blasting: similar to soda blasting, this uses dry ice to remove the top layer our technicians point the hose at
Basement flooding what to do for fixing the flood from reoccurring are shown below. Fixing the issue from where the basement flooded is paramount to ensure basement mold damage does not occur. • High humidity issue: this is especially prevalent in high humidity areas along the coast. Sometime a simple fix like increasing air movement, air exhaust, or a permanent dehumidifier or air conditioner can be the solutions.  We can help coordinate the best solution
  • Drain or sewage water backup issue: we can coordinate a plumber to fix the backup so that the drain is opened back to normal
  • Unknown issue: many times it is difficult to know where the water is coming from. We have several leak detection and moisture meters for determining where basement floods originate from so you know what to do.  We can also coordinate specialized lead detectors if needed
